China is today the world's largest e-commerce market and by 2020 the number of Chinese internet users is expected to reach 80% of the total population, and 70 percent of them will shop online mainly using apps on their mobile phones.

Alibaba is China's undisputed market share leader with Taobao focusing on the C2C market and Tmall on the B2C market. Despite Alibaba's market dominance the E-commerce market in China is today so large that there are room for lots of other - more or less specialised - platforms.
